Italy 2 Euro Pinocchio - Collodi 2026 UNC

Two figures of Pinocchio are depicted, turned away from each other – one with a short nose and the other with a long nose, symbolizing truth and lies. In the upper part, arranged in a semicircle, is the inscription CARLO COLLODI, beneath which the years 1826–2026 are written. In the lower part is the inscription PINOCCHIO. On the left is the letter R, indicating the mint in Rome, and on the right is the monogram IR of the Italian Republic. The design is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of the famous Italian writer Carlo Collodi and his world-famous literary character.
